THIS ENTIRE EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO COVID-19 Michigan Great Lakes Camping - October 12-21, 2020 A Michigan Recreation Passport is required to camp and visit Michigan State Parks. $33 annual or $7/day Interlochen State Park, Interlochen, MI, 4 nights, October 12,13,14 and 15, 2020
This will be our base for exploration of the Leelanaw peninsula, Sleeping Bear Dunes and down the coast as far as Ludington. Lots to see and do in this area. This park is between two lakes and we will want to make reservations ASAP on the first day possible for this event in 2020.
Who's coming: (Let Mabel know if you have made your reservation!) Harrisville State Park, Harrisville, MI, 3 nights, October 16, 17 and 18, 2020 Our second stop is on Lake Huron where we will, if desired, take in a shipwreck tour out of Alpena, 36 minutes to the north.

Algonac State Park, Algonac, MI, 2 nights, October 19 and 20, 2020 Third stop is at Algonac State Park on the St. Clair River which is part of the St. Lawrence Seaway for ocean going vessels to get to and from the Great Lakes. This stop, we may re-visit the antique stores of nearby Marine City or we may just sit and watch the freighters pass by.
